Payment & Cancellation
A non-refundable €250 deposit is required upfront to confirm your booking. Payment of the final balance is due no more than 60 days prior to the start of the retreat.
We recommend taking out comprehensive travel insurance (with a "cancel for any reason" clause). Cancellations are only refundable if we are able to fill your spot with a referral from you or someone from our waiting list. Should we need to offer a discounted rate to secure a last‑minute booking, the amount of the discount will be deducted from your deposit. A €25 cancellation fee will be applied to all refunds.
While every effort is made to ensure that your retreat or activities commence as planned, Subtle Poison reserves the right to cancel or revise any surf session, activity and/or instructor as necessary.
We cannot be held responsible for delays or failure to fulfil our obligations when caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These may include, but are not limited to, natural disaster, unfavorable weather conditions, catastrophe, political unrest, terrorism, strikes, labour disputes, pandemics, government restrictions, or disruptions to internet services.
If your balance is not paid 60 days before the retreat start date, and no alternative payment arrangement has been agreed upon, your booking will be cancelled and your deposit forfeited.
By booking the retreat with us, you acknowledge and agree to these Booking Conditions—which form the entire agreement between you and us, including the Terms and Conditions regarding cancellations—and we will accept your booking on this basis.
Prices can be adjusted at any time unless your initial deposit has been paid.
Requirements & Surf Conditions:
You must be at least 18 years old to join the retreat. You must be able to swim and be comfortable in the ocean to take part in surf lessons. You confirm that you have no medical issues preventing you from surfing or engaging in physical activities and agree to inform us of any relevant medical conditions.
Participants are responsible for the equipment they use and must cover replacement costs if items are lost or damaged.
Please follow your teacher’s instructions at all times during your surf lessons.
Bali offers some of the most consistent surf in the world; however, if suitable conditions cannot be found by 2:30 pm (very unlikely), we reserve the right to provide either a local area tour or theory based surf lesson instead. As surfing depends on weather conditions, this is beyond our control and refunds cannot be issued when nature does not allow it.
Photos taken during the Subtle Poison Surf Retreat may be used for promotional purposes across our website, partner sites, printed materials, and social media.
